The Geekgroup started as one company; Computer Guy, and Computer Guy was founded about the time personal computers were first being manufactured and sold. Among the TRS 80, Amiga, and the Commodore individuals were making their own systems.

We were a part of the group of people at that time selling their wares at the computer shows. It was exciting to be part of the personal computer explosive growth phenomenon. Each day something new was happening, and we were involved in all of it. The Internet, websites, Microsoft Windows, Viruses - We were a part of all of this.

We were among the first companies to start on-site computer support. Computer Guy has one of the longest histories of personal computer consulting anywhere, while maintaining an excellent reputation, and an A+ Better Business Bureau rating. Now we provide personalized computer assistance all across the country for business and residential clients. We have successful spin off companies, produce television and motion picture projects, originate website concepts, provide digital marketing, and maintain many of the clients we started with over thirty years ago. Most of our original technicians have gone on to successful careers, or to start their own businesses, but some are still here. At the Geekgroup we focus on unbridled, energetic, and professional client support. We participate in providing technology assistance to those that can't afford it through our Computer Guy VIP program, and donate time to help small business with their marketing efforts.
