Boo! This month's Halloween security patches from Microsoft will be out October 11th ! Eight Important security bulletins are being released of which two are rated "critical," according to the Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification. Your dedicated (non-zombie) technician is waiting for your call to keep your system up to date, and check your backup.

Microsoft releases security patches the second Tuesday of every month. Adobe, JAVA, and other software vendors also prepare their corrective updates around this time. Your technician wants to assist with this regular maintenance necessary to keep your computer healthy, and virus free. While we are helping to maintain your system, it will be a good time to validate your backup too. Making sure your backup is there, and working is incredibly important!
OCTOBER PATCH TUESDAY :
Critical bulletins patches a bug in Windows and Internet Explorer that if exploited would allow attackers to remotely spread malicious code, Microsoft said. Affected software versions include Internet Explorer 6 through 8, Windows XP, Vista and 7, as well as Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
